2027 Medicare Certification Instructions
Agents must complete annual certification requirements before marketing or selling Medicare Advantage and Part D plans.
Step 1: Complete Annual Medicare Training
Complete CMS-approved Medicare training through an approved vendor. The two most common options are AHIP and NABIP. We recommend AHIP, as not all carriers accept NABIP. NABIP Carrier List
Step 2: Complete Carrier Certifications
After completing your Medicare training, you must complete certification for each carrier you wish to represent. Carrier certification typically includes product training, compliance training, and exams.
Important Reminders
- Certifications must be completed annually.
- You must certify with each carrier you want to represent.
- Certification must be completed before marketing, discussing, or selling a carrier’s Medicare products.
- Processing times vary by carrier, so complete certifications early to avoid delays.

When prompted with a second Sign In screen requesting an email or User Name, enter the same email address used for the previous Broker Business Portal (BBP) login. No password is required. Step 3: Complete Your BCBSNE Recertification CaseOnce logged in to your recertification case, complete the following tabs:
Note: Email address updates are not permitted through your recertification case. Once your recertification case has been submitted, please send an email address update request to Broker_Appointment@
Once you have completed all tabs, click Submit. You may now Close your browser window. Did you select “Yes” to selling Medicare Advantage or PDP Products?
Step 4: Complete BCBSNE 2027 Product CertificationsOnce your 2027 Basic Medicare Certification is approved and the MA and PDP certifications becomes available, you will receive an email from Broker_Appointment@ Note: You will receive a separate email for each certification. After completing the product certification(s), your Medicare recertification process will be complete. If you will NOT sell BCBSNE Medicare Advantage or PDP products in 2027If you do not intend to sell Medicare Advantage or PDP products for plan year 2027, follow the instructions below to decline your MAPD\PDP recertification.

- Select the “Open Curriculum” button next to the AGT 2026 BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Medicare Advantage Curriculum.
- Once in the LMS Curriculum Player, follow the instructions to complete each required training module or attestation. When you are done, the “In Progress” bar will indicate 100% completion.

- The contracting and certification are straight forward with no exam. You will need to upload the 2027 AHIP Certification or NABIP Medicare Certification, so make sure you’ve completed that first. Time to certify from start to finish should be no more than 20-25 minutes.
- Please make sure to choose the appropriate information for the assignment of commissions. W9 should be your individual information when choosing “Pay me Directly” option. If you select the “Pay my Upline” option, the W9 for your upline agency should be used. This will require a TIN when making the initial selection. Reach out to your upline for that information.

To access Pinpoint and begin certifying, a new agent must follow these simple steps:
1. Navigate to Pinpoint
2. Select ‘Click here to register’ under First time visitors
3. Enter access code PH2027 on the next screen
4. Search for their NPN using the NIPR look up
5. Ensure their profile is up to date with their correct contact information, FMA, etc.
(Note: Pinpoint cannot have duplicate entries for the same NPN. If the NPN they are attempting to enter is already associated with an open account, they will need to log in using their NPN as their username and, if necessary, reset their password.)
