All event information should be submitted 14 days prior to the event. If you miss the 14-day deadline to file, you may contact MA Sales Compliance with the event information.

The event coordinator contacted you and advised that your event needs to be cancelled due to an unforeseen issue. You need to contact Medical Mutual’s MA Sales Compliance to cancel this event.

You do not need to remain at the event location if the event was canceled due to inclement weather.

You’re done with your formal educational event and one of the attendees wants to discuss Medicare plans. You may collect a Scope of Appointment for a future date.

A Business Reply Card (BRC) can be obtained at any of the Medicare Events, Informal Sales, Formal Sales and Educational.

These are examples of restricted areas if conducting a sales activity in a healthcare setting:

I. Exam room

II. Hospital exam room

III. Treatment area

IV. Pharmacy counter

You have an upcoming informal event at your local pharmacy, and they’ve allowed you to place your table near the pharmacy counter at least 20 feet away, this is an acceptable distance.

A prospect is asking you for information on life insurance at an informal sales event. You are allowed to discuss other lines of business at a Medicare event.

At informal sales events, you can schedule an in-home appointment, collect a Business Reply Card and enroll onsite.

You will be hosting a formal educational event at your local YMCA. To generate interest and attendance, you offer to provide a meal because the meeting will take place around lunchtime. This is permissible.
